Eric Clapton & Steve Winwood - Can't Find My Way Home
One of the first of the great Super Groups was Blind Faith, following Cream and Traffic, teaming up Steve Winwood Jack Bruce, Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker. The songs and musicianship were amazing. One of their best recordings, in my opinion, was "Can't Find My Home,"' a bluesy tune about trying to make it back to the crib on a night when you were absolutely wasted. At the time that was a pretty common theme, and Eric himself was pretty strung out not to mention Ginger Baker's addiction.
Blind Faith didn't last a long time, after recording a platinum (1 million sales) album and touring to sold out crowds, the players went their separate ways. But the music lives on and is a staple of Classic Rock Radio. This version was recorded some years later with Steve and Eric teaming up again with some fabulous musicians and backup singers. Winwood and Clapton are remembered as royalty during the Golden Age of Rock.
