Norman Saw A Spirit In The Sky

I think I've put up SPIRIT IN THE SKY, writtne and sung by: NORMAN GREENBAUM before, I know it's on:, but I came across a PSK remastered copy of the original Video, and the sound is Loud and Heavy. I've always had a bit of a problem getting past Norman's lyrics, strange for a practicing Orthodox Jew, but said he was inspired watching Dolly Parton and Porter Wagoner singing Gospel on TV. His guitar work was masterful, loud and heavy; and the record sold over 2 million records in 196-70, earning him a GOLD RECORD award.

I still remember driving over the peak of a steep hill in San Francisco on a fine, clear Northern California day with the radio blasting, and as I caught the first glimpse of the Bay with Alcatraz and the Bridges , I heard Spirit in the Sky for the first time and, to be honest, it was kind of a religious experience for me, too. @therealdonrocks
