Dr. John personifies Crescent City funk

I've always been a fan of New Orleans music, from Louis Armstrong to Fats Domino, Professor Long Hair, and so many more, but most recently DR. JOHN, (born Mac Rebennack), with his distinctive Gris Gris and Crescent City funk. He's a Master Pianist and his accent gives the music a real reflection of the New Orleans sound.

The first time I saw The Doctor live I was amazed at what a great performer he is, a Dr. John show is rollicking fun. One of his best tunes, in my estimation is: WHAT A NIGHT. Here he is live at the Band's Final Performance, THE LAST WALTZ. @therealdonrocks
