The Original QUEEN Band, Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, John Deacon; enjoyed great success both on Recordings and in their World Tour performances, but few Bands have had one of their songs become part of almost every live Sporting Event. The arena anthem WE WILL ROCK YOU, is one of those iconic songs.
The almost Operatic version of, "Rock You" ties in well with the late, FREDDIE MERCURY'S legacy, but did you ever see them do the "FAST" version of the song? It was so smoking hot that the temperature would raise in the Arenas.
Well here's Queen Live, rocking it hard in 1985, with Freddie in full Biker Drag stalking the stage like a Panther, and Brian May playing his guitar so fast that sometimes his hand becomes a blur. The Band would face major trauma when Mr. Mercury died in 1991 at age 45 from complications associated with AIDS. Freddie Mercury had a Zoroastrian Funeral, the religion of his family from Tanzania. He is remembered as one of the greatest vocalists in Rock History. @therealdonrocks
