Darlene Love's Last Christmas on Letterman

The Holidays are coming, so I think I'll sprinkle in some of the great music associated with it, Rocking. What better way to start than with the great MISS DARLENE LOVE's rendition of "Christmas Baby Please Come Home," on the Letterman Show.

The tune was originally produced by Phil Spector for his, "PHIL SPECTOR'S CHRISTMAS ALBUM," with his Wall Of Sound. We loved it at the Radio Stations because it was Rockin' and sounded good on the air. It was one of my favorite records and I was pleased to know that Brian Wilson also has it at the top of his favorite recordings list.

This song was released as a single first, and didn't do well, but annual playing of it, especially after Darlene was rediscovered cleaning houses in Beverly Hills, and made yearly appearances on Dave's Christmas Show, have made it a standard. HInt: Watch Paul Schaffer's face as she sings on his piano, you can always tell it's sounds good when Paul smiles like that. @therealdonrocks
