Time to get the Led out here on The Don Rocks. The name BLACK DOG never made sense to me because of the song's content. Turns out there was a Black Labrador that wandered around the Studio while they were recording. Of such things are megahits made.
John Bonham is on drums, it would be another decade in 1980, that Bonham would die at age 32 from a massive amount of alcohol, they say about 40 shots of vodka. I'm going to make this a TDR Twin Spin, with the most played song in the history of FM Radio coming up next (On the radio we called that a Tease: "Quarter Hour Maintenance;" because the ARB Ratings were broken down into quarter hours, the idea was to keep listeners around through the seemingly endless commercial breaks, often 18 minutes per hour in early Top 40).
So here are the Zeppies, young enough that Plant still had his shirt wide open, Rocking the House. @therealdonrocks
