The EAGLES co-founder and leader, GLEN FREY, passed away on Jan 18, 2016. Some folks have asked me if I thought the Eagles will ever play live again, but it's hard to answer. Glen and DON HENLEY, were the soul and heart of The Eagles, and either one is almost impossible to replace.
Of course, there are a lot singer/guitarists who could do well reproducing his sound, but in my opinion not the magic. What we do have is some terrific film of The Eagles performing, including Glen Frey singing their first great song that he wrote with Jackson Brown, TAKE IT EASY.
I must mention a great personal memory: Driving across the country in 1972 heading for L.A. when I saw a sign that said, "Entering Winslow, Arizona," and suddenly this song came on the radio, I had it blasting as I drove through the almost empty streets of Winslow looking for a girl in a flatbed Ford, but she was no where to be found. Bless Your Soul Glen you brought a lot of happiness to a lot of people in your Great American Band. @therealdonrocks
