Al Green: Tired of Being Alone

Found a great clip of Al Green on "Midnight Special" in the vaults. (I am so thankful that they've kept this stuff and augmented it for us to see and hear today.) It's the (future Reverend) Al Green singing "Tired Of Being Alone" live with a kicking band. This was a couple of years before we hit the road together in 1977, and he looks pretty much as he did then except he wasn't wearing skin tight pants. He did have a walking stick with a heavy handle that might be good for self-defense as well as walking) This song, as well as all of Al Green's hits in the 70s, was produced by my late friend and colleague, WILLIE MITCHELL, a prince of a Man.

Shortly before I wrote this, there was a report that Al Green had been killed that went viral and got over a million hits on Facebook while the Twittersphere went crazy. These death hoax reports upset people and scare the artists, so let's hope that whoever gets off doing this stuff is traced.

The Reverend Al Green is very much alive and still working at 71, but here he is at the peak of his fame in 1974 singing, I'M SO TIRED OF BEING ALONE Live with great audio and video. Check out the ladies in the audience, that man got a lot of love. @therealdonrocks
