John Lee Hooker & Bonnie Raitt: I'm In the Mood

Some people are surprised to learn that BONNIE RAITT, is an accomplished Blues Guitar player as well as an Singer/Songwriter. Actually in the 70's her early albums were a mixture of Blues, Rock, Folk and Country that made her popular with critics and music aficionados, but she wasn't reaching the general public as much as she wished.

She finally broke through big time with 1989's more bluesy/pop album, "Nick of Time." Scott found a video of Bonnie returning to her roots when she was invited to play with JOHN LEE HOOKER, for his DVD, "John Lee Hooker and Friends."

Bonnie and Mr. Hooker are in live performance doing the Blues Song, "I'M IN THE MOOD," and there's a great transition moment when John Lee finishes a verse and turns it over to the lady who's playing some nasty slide guitar, and she gets down and dirty in her vocal. This is really a wonderful clip, it had old TDR smilin' and rockin' in my chair... check it out.
