About TDR

Editor's note: Don went to Rock and Roll Heaven in 2019. Before he died, he asked that we keep the site alive. Here is his original welcome:

On January 6, 1957, just 13 days before his 15th birthday, a young man in a small town  sat on the living room floor watching the Ed Sullivan Show on a small black and white TV along with millions of other Americans. That’s when he saw Elvis Presley sing “Don’t Be Cruel,” and it changed his life.  From that day on he was enthralled by the Rock &Roll music, and began to follow a path that for the next 30 years would lead to his being a disc jockey: Donnie Sunday, Donnie Dare, and then later Don Sundeen, record promotion man.  That boy was me, and my segment of this site will be weekly memories of the many places, artists and personalities that I met along the way, with all the highs and lows of a crazy career. As The Dead said: “What a long strange trip it’s been.”

Rock On.

Don Sundeen
